Welcome to the Department of Information Technology at JBREC. The Department of Information Technology was established in the academic year 2007 with an intake of 60 in the beginning in the Bachelor course of Information Technology , besides an additional 10% under lateral entry scheme.

The vision of the IT Department is Global Excellence and Local Relevance in Teaching, Research and Technology development in Information Technology. In pursuit of this vision, the Department is actively engaged in research activities in various research areas.

Department of IT has well-qualified and experienced faculty who are specialists in the areas of C Programming, Java Programming, Data Structures, Databases, Data Mining, Computer Organization, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Information Security, Machine Learning and Other Programming Languages. There are around 12+ dedicated faculty members with good amount of experience in these different areas. The faculty members are actively involved in research activities in the field of their specialization. They have published number of papers in journals and Conferences of National and International repute.

Students of IT have fulfilled the expectations of the department by grabbing envious positions in some of the top notch software/hardware companies of India like Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, MAQ software, Cognizant and Sasken.
Many others of them have obtained admissions to M.S and PhD with scholarships at reputed American, UK, Australian and other universities overseas.
