PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY LAB
The production technology Laboratory course aims to impart the knowledge about various manufacturing processes. It deals with metal casting, metal forming plastic molding and metal joining processes. After this course, a student will have a good exposure about the manufacturing processes and various operations and machinery. This also gives the recent trends in these processes also.
MACHINE DRAWING PRACTICE
Machine drawing is used to communicate the necessary technical information required for manufacture and assembly of machine components. These drawings follow rules laid down in national and International Organizations for Standards (ISO). Hence the knowledge of the different standards is very essential. Students have to be familiar with industrial drafting practices and thorough understanding of production drawings to make themselves fit in industries.
FLUID MECHANICS AND HYDRAULIC MACHINES LAB
The purpose of Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery laboratory is to reinforce and enhance the understanding of the fundamental concepts of Fluid mechanics and Hydraulic machines. The experiments here are designed to demonstrate the applications of the basic fluid mechanics principles and to provide a more intuitive and physical understanding of the theory. This lab has ample facilities for conducting fluid flow experiments
INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS LAB
The main aim of this lab is to guide the students in measuring velocity of fluid, Humidity, Fluid Density, Temperature and so on. The lab is equipped with Temperature Measuring Devices, Displacement Measuring Device, Various Strain gauges, Speed measuring Device, etc.. Sensors and Transducers include Pressure Sensors and manometers, Flow meters, LVDTs, Strain Gages, Thermocouples, and RTDs etc
BASIC ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING LAB
Impart a basic knowledge of electrical quantities such as current, voltage, power, energy and frequency to understand the impact of technology in a global and societal context. Provide working knowledge for the analysis of basic DC and AC circuits used in electrical and electronic devices. Function on multi-disciplinary teams.
MATERIAL SCIENCE & MECHANICS OF SOLIDS LAB
The purpose of metallurgy and Mechanics of Solids laboratory is to make students conduct experiments to determine the magnitude of stress and strains acting in a material which can be further used to determine other material properties. In order that students have a good understanding of the theory underlying the experiments.
THERMAL ENGINEERING LAB
The objective of this laboratory is to provide the student a good environment to understand some very important concepts and applications in the field of IC engines and refrigeration. The primary purpose of the laboratory is to show students the experimental methods on thermal energies on various engines and demonstrate their operational procedures. These values can be further used to determine other fuel properties.
METROLOGY & MACHINE TOOLS LAB
The objective of this laboratory is the student will be able to understand Step turning and taper turning and thread cutting Drilling and Tapping on the lathe machine and the operations of Shaping and Planing and milling . To learn the measurement of the Angle and tapers by Bevel protractor, Sine bars, etc.
KINEMATICS & DYNAMICS LAB
The objective of this laboratory is the student will be able to understand the fundamentals of the theory of kinematics and dynamics of machines. Understand techniques for studying motion of machines and their components. Use computer software packages in modern design of machines.
HEAT TRANSFER LAB
This Lab contributes to the educational process as the students can study free and forced convection in flat surfaces, Fins exchanger etc. Also, they can study the dependence of the heat transmission with the temperature, speed of the fluid and the exchanger geometry. thereby student can link between what they have learned from the theoretical material and what he is doing in the lab
CAD & CAM LAB
The Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing Laboratory, encompasses designing of geometric and solid modeling, computer graphics and visualization. Topics include Introduction to computer-aided drafting using CAD software and sketching to generate two- and three-dimensional drawings based on the conventions of engineering graphical communication.
Engineering Workshop
Engineering Workshop is a place where students acquire knowledge on the operation of various processes involved in manufacturing and production. The Workshop Practice course makes students competent in handling practical work in engineering environment. In this workshop students are enabled in basic mechanical operations like fitting, carpentry, foundry and smithy. The following workshop practices are given to the students. This workshop develops the creative skill of the future engineers
INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS LAB
The objective of this laboratory is the students to: I. Understand basic principles of instrumentation and control systems II.
